We seek imaginative and creative scientists interested in building an innovative research program in cancer medicinal chemistry/chemical biology. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with other scientists within the Department of Chemistry and the Markey Cancer Center and mentor Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows. Teaching responsibilities will include instruction at the undergraduate and graduate level in organic and/or biological chemistry. Candidates should be committed to a safe and supportive environment based on creativity, collegiality, responsibility, rigor, and integrity. Qualifications
A Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical biology, pharmacology or related field is required. Core expertise in medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, drug discovery, development and design, especially as it pertains to advancing understanding and treatment of cancer, is preferred. Applicants must include: 1) cover letter 2) CV, 3) Research Statement (upload as Specific Request 1), 4) Teaching Statement (upload as Specific Request 2), and 5) Current Transcripts.
