Candidates must complete training and probationary requirements for appointment, with responsibilities including protection of life and property. Applicants must include their CT POST Police Officer Certification number, including issuance and expiration dates, on their application. Applicants are not required to possess EMT certification. Full-Time, 40 hours/week Shifts: 1st, 2nd, 3rd (determined upon hire) May require work on holidays and weekends Key Responsibilities
Crowd control at university events Monitoring security areas to prevent theft, trespass, vandalism, or violations Providing directions and information to the public Participating in evacuations and emergency responses Operating firefighting equipment if necessary Patrol duties (cruiser, foot, bicycle) Traffic and crowd management Threat assessment and emergency response Responding to emergencies, providing CPR/first aid Assisting in criminal investigations and court proceedings About the Department
The CCSU Police Department is a nationally accredited agency committed to community policing, crime prevention, and safety. Application Process

Law enforcement certification in Connecticut Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Valid driver’s license Potentially EMT certification and other qualifications Physical and Background Standards
