We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation aircraft. This position is onsite at our Headquarters in Fort Worth, TX. Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer The Quality Engineer assists in the development and execution of processes used in the manufacturing and quality environments to ensure robust, compliant and cost-effective processes, practices and procedures. What you’ll be doing as a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer: Present program quality system health and monitoring to internal and external customers Facilitate and determine quality requirements for the review, approval, monitoring, and quality planning (FMEA, PFMEA, control plans, first article, inspection planning, and corrective and preventative actions, and containment as required) Coordinate and interact with engineering on requirement definition for purposes of inspectibility and producibility. Assist and perform Measurement Systems Analysis at COE and at Suppliers. Provide training to personnel or facilitate as required. Facilitating Corrective Action Boards (CAB) as required Research, development and testing new inspection technologies for the purposes of development and implementation of operations intelligence into the manufacturing Interaction with customers (DCMA, FAA, AMCOM, SRD, NAVAIR) Business Acumen - Understands how business works; acquiring knowledge in current policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the organization. Problem Solving - Demonstrates a basic level of root-cause analysis; relies on others to provide direction; works under close supervision. Functional/Technical Skills - Basic level of product manufacture, inspection, testing, and inspection technology; acquiring skills in process management, technical specifications, metrology, Six Sigma, regulatory guidelines and the application of Quality Standards What you Need to Be Successful: Education Requirements – Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace degree or related Engineering degree At least 2+ years experience with Quality showing progressive responsibility Experience planning and programming inspections using CMM, laser trackers, 3D scanning, photogrammetry and other metrology tools is required Experience capturing an analyzing digital quality data for SPC and Measurement System Analysis preferred Ability to travel approximately 10% annually to suppliers in N. America This role does Not offer Bell Textron relocation assistance.
