Lead Building Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform a wide range of building operations and facility maintenance functions across our campus and residences. This position is responsible for supervising maintenance staff, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring the safety, security, and efficient operation of all physical structures and systems. The Lead Maintenance Technician will manage daily upkeep, preventive maintenance, and repairs involving HVAC, boilers, plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and general building operations. Responsibilities also include maintaining safety standards, supporting special events, overseeing seasonal tasks such as snow removal, and ensuring compliance with operational and safety procedures.
Qualifications & Education Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in building maintenance, including in HVAC, boilers, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems. A valid New York State driver’s license with a strong driving record is required. Candidates must be able to use hand and power tools, perform physical tasks including lifting up to 80 lbs., and demonstrate leadership skills in supervising staff and coordinating operations. A pool operator certification is preferred but not required. Must have prior work experience.
