Responsibilities

Ensure all regulatory provisions and Safran Group reference systems are applied, including Safran Group policy, fundamentals, standards and objectives.

Carry out regulatory and legal monitoring; ensure regulatory registers (including the "comprehensive assessment") are properly kept and regularly checked.

Ensure operational staff take HSE obligations into account; update the list of HSE qualified and/or accredited staff.

Implement monitoring and reporting methods adapted to local circumstances; manage and/or carry out HSE audits and inspections; suggest, review and monitor corrective and preventive actions.

Manage the creation and implementation of the local HSE improvement plan: identify significant hazards and environmental aspects and impacts, monitor them; establish HSE action plans with operational staff to achieve objectives and targets; monitor the application of action plans; manage a portfolio of HSE improvement projects.

Lead site management and operational staff on all HSE activities: provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and training; implement Safran Group tools and procedures and coordinate the HSE training plan; initiate communication and awareness initiatives; establish and update HSE documentation; ensure documentation is managed and disseminated; participate in analyses and surveys; facilitate incident investigations and corrective actions; champion risk reduction initiatives and organize emergency drills; prepare management reviews and provide information for Safran Group HSE reporting.

Facility Support: maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing proper safety procedures; ensure efficient, timely, and accurate completion of Facilities/Maintenance functions; oversee facilities operation, maintenance, repair, installation and construction.

But what else? (advantages, specificities, etc.) The HSE Manager drives HSE within a site to ensure all regulatory provisions and Safran Group reference systems are applied. This role manages the local HSE improvement plan and advises/s supports site management and operational staff to promote health, safety and environmental performance. This role also manages operation and maintenance of buildings, equipment, furnishings, grounds, and regulatory agencies related to facilities. Facilities include structures and grounds, and utilities such as heating, air conditioning, power, water and electrical. The position provides for proper and safe functioning of all facilities, facility planning, capital budgeting, oversight of construction/remodeling/repair, and promotes lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.

Candidate skills & requirements Education:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related technical field.

Experience:

5 or more years in Health, Safety & Environmental, including experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year of leadership responsibility.

Certificates/Licenses:

Cal/OSHA 30-Hour Certification and Safety professional certification is strongly preferred.

Computer Skills:

Familiar with Windows Operating System

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles

Annual salary $89,640 - $140,860
