Are you a motivated and experienced nurse leader ready to make a real impact? We are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to provide pivotal coordination and leadership within a health unit or community service, ensuring high-quality care and positive outcomes for patients and clients.
About the Role
The
Nurse Unit Manager
uses clinical knowledge and experience to lead, coordinate, and manage nursing/midwifery and/or multi-disciplinary team activities. The role focuses on achieving continuity and quality of patient/client care, addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy, and fostering team performance and a positive work culture. Employees in this role accept accountability for the outcomes of nursing/midwifery and multidisciplinary practices within their service area.
What We’re Looking For
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Registered Nurse and or Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience. Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing and/or midwifery practice in accordance with the relevant standards. Experience in management and leadership roles. Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and or midwives. Experience within Emergency Departments.

This is a part time vacancy, working 64 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working part-time. Applicants are encouraged to discuss the flexible working arrangements for this role. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements: DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
