(Pro Rata) RN/M3| Full Time – Ongoing Flinders Medical Centre is looking for a dedicated and skilled Nurse Unit Manager to join their Haemodialysis Unit in an ongoing role. About the role: Reporting to the Nursing Director as the Nurse Unit Manager you will usebe involved in line management, coordination, and leadership of nursing/midwifery and/or multi-disciplinary team activities to achieve continuity and quality of patient/client care and outcomes. Duties for the role will include: Ensure the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed Division / Unit / Ward / Service and strategic plans Budget preparation, monitoring and reporting and adherence to resources allocations Contribute to the development of, implementation of, and monitoring of corporate policies and processes and lead in their area of expertise Identifying hazards, assessing risks and implementing, monitoring and maintaining hazard control measures Provides leadership and direction, acts as a role model, mentor, consultant, and resource person About you: Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate Demonstrated competence in acute care nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
