Electrical Engineer I (Analog Experience)
Custom Mfg ENG, Tallahassee, Florida, United States
Bring Your Electrical Engineering Skills to Life!
Are you ready to launch your engineering career designing real hardware with real impact? At
Custom Manufacturing & Engineering (CME) , we're looking for an
Electrical Engineer I
with a passion for
analog circuit design
and a desire to work on systems that matter-power electronics, intelligent control systems, and mission-critical tech used in defense, industrial, and space applications. This isn't a role where you'll be stuck tweaking legacy designs or buried in spreadsheets. You'll be hands-on with real hardware from day one-designing, prototyping, testing, and shipping systems that solve real-world problems. If you're curious, collaborative, and want to grow fast-we want to hear from you. What You'll Work On: Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuits
for power, sensing, and control systems Prototype and test designs-yes, you'll actually get to use the lab bench
Use tools like
OrCAD, SPICE, or LTspice
to simulate and validate your ideas
Work side-by-side with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers
Troubleshoot, iterate, and improve designs based on real performance data
Engage with suppliers and vendors to source the right parts and solutions
Document your work clearly so others can build on it
Other engineering tasks as assigned
What We're Looking For
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse, cross-functional team
Strong communication skills - able to clearly convey technical concepts across departments and to external partners/vendors
Comfortable interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
Skilled in preparing technical reports and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with
OrCAD PCB Designer , schematic capture tools, or circuit simulation software is a plus (SPICE, LTspice, electromagnetic simulators, etc.)
Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute meaningfully to engineering projects from concept through completion
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree
in Electrical Engineering (required)
3.0+ GPA
preferred and/or 0-2 years of electrical experience
Hands-on exposure to
analog circuit design
– op-amps, filters, power supplies, signal conditioning, etc.
Comfortable with oscilloscopes, function generators, and multimeters
Familiar with schematic capture and simulation tools (OrCAD, SPICE, LTspice, etc.)
Strong communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly
A curious mindset and drive to solve problems

CME , you won't just tweak circuits-you'll design, build, and ship real hardware that powers defense, aerospace, and industrial innovation as we have been doing for nearly 30 years! As an engineer here, you'll tackle challenges like: Designing
mission-critical analog circuits
and power systems
Solving
EMI, thermal, and ruggedization
constraints
Debugging, testing, and improving hardware- hands-on
You'll work on
high-impact projects , learn fast, and contribute from day one. We're small enough that your voice matters, and experienced enough to back big ideas with real execution.
