Role overview: The Grants Program Lead applies advanced knowledge of federal and state grant programs to perform complex eligibility reviews, interpret program requirements, and ensure compliance with funding and documentation standards. This role serves as a subject matter resource for peers and junior team members, providing guidance on complex project reviews and supporting consistent application of policies and procedures. The Grants Program Lead works closely with clients and third-party entities to resolve issues, verify data accuracy, and ensure alignment with program objectives and regulatory expectations. This is a temporary, project-based hourly position that may conclude upon project completion.

Responsibilities and essential job functions may include, but are not limited to:

Advise on and apply program requirements across multiple grant types (e.g., FEMA PA, FEMA IA, CDBG-DR, Hazard Mitigation).

Conduct advanced eligibility reviews and resolve complex documentation or compliance issues.

Interpret federal regulations, procurement standards, and cost eligibility criteria for complex cases.

Perform secondary review of project files and deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Serve as a resource to Program Specialists, providing guidance and feedback on complex reviews or unclear program requirements.

Coordinate with applicants, contractors, and third‑party partners to clarify requirements and resolve discrepancies.

Support development of audit‑ready documentation, reports, and data tracking systems.

Identify and escalate high‑risk or noncompliant findings to project leadership with supporting analysis.

Collaborate with Engagement Managers and Leads to monitor progress and report on review outcomes and trends.

Assist in developing internal tools, templates, and best practices to enhance quality and efficiency.

Represent Indelible in client meetings and workgroups to communicate findings, progress, and recommendations.

Perform other duties as needed to ensure successful program delivery.

Candidates will be required to undergo background screenings as required by clients for engagement delivery purposes. Continued employment is contingent upon successfully passing such screenings throughout the duration of employment.

What Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:

Extensive experience with FEMA Public Assistance, Hazard Mitigation, CDBG‑DR, or other federal/state disaster recovery programs.

Strong understanding of complex eligibility determinations, procurement standards, and documentation requirements.

Ability to review and interpret data, validate claims, and identify inconsistencies or noncompliance.

Proven success providing peer guidance and technical support to other reviewers or team members.

Familiarity with FEMA Grants Portal, CDBG‑DR systems, or other grant management platforms.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.

Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, emergency management, or related field preferred.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast‑paced, high‑stakes environments.
