Clinical Pharmacist PRN (25039947) Overview
The role involves interpreting provider orders and prescriptions, compounding and dispensing medications, explaining use of medications and potential drug interactions, and providing drug information to patients, healthcare workers, and others as necessary. Responsible for interpreting provider orders and prescriptions, and compounding and dispensing medications. This position explains use of medications and potential drug interactions, and provides drug information to patients, healthcare workers, and others as necessary. Other expectations include overseeing and supervising pharmacy technicians and other supporting staff. The value you'll bring to the team
Interprets prescription and medication orders accurately, and clarifies any uncertainties to ensure safe and effective patient care. Monitors drug utilization to detect potential interactions, overlaps, dosing issues, and other unique situations. Participates in Code Blue and other emergency situations to ensure adequate drug supply and appropriate drug use. Supervises pharmacy technicians and supporting staff, directing workflow and ensuring completion of duties. Qualifications
The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed: Doctorate Required Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) Required Preferred qualifications
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Preferred Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Preferred Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Preferred
