24 hour shifts to cover Birthing center and NICU at WMH and OMH. The Waukesha Memorial Hospital NICU is a level III NICU providing care to the critically ill neonate population. Waukesha Memorial Hospital is a 22 bed NICU. The team consists of NICU RN, NICU NNP, Neonatologist, and NICU support staff. We offer transport services, lactation services, and follow up clinic for infants after discharge. What You Will Do:

A registered nurse with advanced education and training in care of at-risk and high-risk neonates. Responsible for the nature and quality of nursing care of critically ill neonates. Under the direction of a physician, the NNP manages neonatal patients using collaboration, consultation, and direct care. The NNP is involved with the education of nursing staff, residents, and students. Maintains credentials with procedural privileges through the medical staff offices at WMH and OMH. Participates in multidisciplinary mortality and morbidity rounds. Participates and coordinates as needed in research activities within the NICU. Provides procedural support to the ED for newborn/infant code blue. Qualifications: Displays a positive attitude about themselves, work, and staff. Meets all necessary competencies within 6 months of hire. BLS and NRP upon hire. Master's Degree required.
