We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Wausau, WI on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide immediate and comprehensive care to patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate is experienced in emergency nursing, quick-thinking, and committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in fast-paced situations. Key Responsibilities

Provide rapid assessment, triage, and treatment for patients with emergent and critical conditions. Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary staff to stabilize and care for patients. Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and response to treatments. Assist with trauma care, resuscitation, and procedures performed in the ED. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately and in a timely manner. Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based practices in emergency care. Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in Wisconsin (or compact eligibility). Minimum 1–2 years of recent ED nursing experience in an acute care setting. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); PALS and TNCC preferred. Strong assessment, decision-making, and communication skills in high-pressure situations. Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care. COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
