Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED) Travel Position
Location: Duluth, MN Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3×12s Pay: $2,293/week
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Duluth, MN on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide immediate, high-quality care to patients with emergent and life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate is experienced in emergency nursing, thrives in high-acuity, fast-paced environments, and is committed to delivering safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform rapid assessment, triage, and initiate appropriate interventions for patients with emergent and critical conditions.
Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to stabilize and treat patients.
Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and responses to treatment.
Assist in trauma care, resuscitation efforts, and emergency procedures as needed.
Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the medical record.
Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based practices in emergency nursing.
Qualifications
Current and valid RN license in Minnesota (or compact eligibility).
Minimum 1–2 years of recent ED nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); PALS and TNCC preferred.
Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills under pressure.
Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
