The Walmart Facility Services team, comprising over 5,000 associates and contractors, develops and executes a data-driven asset management strategy. Our mission is to optimize uptime and total cost of ownership for Walmart’s assets across more than 5,000 stores, clubs, and distribution centers. This role is vital for developing and implementing refrigeration technologies across all Walmart US and Sam’s Club facilities, aligning with corporate sustainability and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include: Monitoring refrigerant-related laws and creating tools to track compliance and progress toward regulatory goals. Developing end-of-life asset replacement strategies using preventive and predictive maintenance approaches. Managing the rollout of new HVAC and refrigeration technologies across Walmart’s facilities. Ensuring seamless integration of HVAC/R technologies into design prototypes and projects. Collaborating with Realty, Construction, Sustainability, Energy, and Procurement teams to maximize uptime and reduce costs. Wow Us If You
Are data-driven, detail-oriented, and use analytics for asset investment decisions. Have experience working with large datasets related to HVAC/R systems. Thrive in fast-paced, team environments and are self-motivated for continuous improvement. Have 5+ years of experience designing HVAC and refrigeration systems. Have experience with various refrigerant systems including HFC, CFC, HCFC, glycol, and CO2. Possess field experience in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining HVAC or refrigeration systems. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, with 4+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of experience in facilities or construction management. Preferred Qualifications
Optional qualifications include experience with building controls automation software, budget management, retail operations, supervisory roles, and certifications such as Facility Manager or Project Management Professional. Location
