Technologist Training Academy (TAA) ! Our program offers the ability to cross-train and become an MRI Technologist. The MRI Technologist Trainee will learn to perform a variety of standard and specialty Magnetic Resonance (MR) procedures with accuracy, utilizing radiofrequencies, time varying gradients and a high magnetic field, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions with supervision. Applies the profession\'s code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care.Must demonstrate competency performing routine MRI exams within six months of commencement of the MRI training program. Address : 7500 Hugh Daniel Drive, Suite 150, Hoover, AL,35242 Our program offers: All expenses-paid learning Structured training with 3rd party learning resources Work 1:1 with assigned trainer Wage increase with passing registry Duties/Responsibilities: Scans and documents patients under the direction of a registered technologist to meet all Company requirements. Perform complex tasks associated with the operation of high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce special radiographic images of specific body parts Position patients for MR scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedure performance Perform Radiological procedures when not performing MRI Duties Start I.V.’s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol Evaluate MR scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Must possess sound judgment and critical thinking skills to appropriately evaluate situations and determine the best method for achieving optimal results. Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy/physiology Education and Experience Graduate of 24 month AMA approved School of Radiology Technology 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality ARRT certification in Radiology IV credentialed if applicable BLS certification Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting: up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
