Assistant Coach - Strength and Conditioning
Join Howard University as an Assistant Coach in our Athletics Department. The role provides strength training to student-athletes and supports program goals.
Job Purpose
This position provides strength training to student-athletes.
Principal Accountabilities
- Works under the supervision of the Director of Strength and Conditioning.
- Direct responsibilities for year-round programs for assigned teams.
- Supervises athletics weight room, inventory, and maintenance.
- Recommend purchases regarding strength and conditioning equipment.
- Work in conjunction with athletic trainers regarding injuries, rehabilitation, and nutrition.
- Coordinate with coaches regarding schedules and needs.
- Commitment to and compliance with the University’s and Department of Athletics policies and procedures as well as the MEAC and NCAA constitutions, bylaws, legislation, and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by Senior Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Performance.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2-4 years of experience in college strength and conditioning.
- CSCS and/or CSCCA Certification required.
Salary Range Disclosure
$45,000 - $55,000
