Assistant Coach - Strength and Conditioning Join Howard University as an Assistant Coach in our Athletics Department. The role provides strength training to student-athletes and supports program goals. Job Purpose This position provides strength training to student-athletes. Principal Accountabilities Works under the supervision of the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Direct responsibilities for year-round programs for assigned teams. Supervises athletics weight room, inventory, and maintenance. Recommend purchases regarding strength and conditioning equipment. Work in conjunction with athletic trainers regarding injuries, rehabilitation, and nutrition. Coordinate with coaches regarding schedules and needs. Commitment to and compliance with the University’s and Department of Athletics policies and procedures as well as the MEAC and NCAA constitutions, bylaws, legislation, and regulations. Other duties as assigned by Senior Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Performance.
