Hardware Development Engineer – Milwaukee, WI

Responsibilities

• Evaluates reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production.
• Plans, designs and develops electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, equipment, packaging and optical systems.
• Frequently interacts with peers and customers to cooperate on technical projects and present information.
• Networks with senior internal/external personnel in area of expertise.
• Works on issues of diverse scope where data analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Receives assignments in terms of objectives and determines the process for meeting goals.
• Receives little day‑to‑day instruction; generally instructed on new assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 5+ years of related experience.
• Experienced professional with full understanding of area of specialization; resolves wide range of issues creatively.
• Electrical design experience.
• Oscilloscope and multimeter experience required.
• Previous safety experience is a plus.
• Analog and digital design concepts.
• Hardware verification and validation testing.
• Prototype builds.
• Mentor graphics or Altium systems.
• Product lifecycle and development.
• Validation/Verification testing.
