Description

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Supervisor position is responsible for supporting the Controller in direction, supervision, and development of the Accounting team. The selected candidate will lead the monthly close process to issue timely and complete financial statements in accordance with GAAP, monitor and assess ongoing internal processes to push for efficiency, automation, and accuracy of financial management and systems, and facilitate accounting initiatives, financial analyses, and special projects. This opportunity has strong growth potential and will expand with the firm. You will interact with all departments while developing, managing, and mentoring the Accounting team. General functions include Revenue Cycle, Inventory Cycle, Fixed & Leased Assets, General Ledger, Payables and Receivables, Internal Controls, and Compliance and Governance.

Qualifications

  • Responsible for managing operational data and ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Assist the Controller in producing accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Assist in the month‑end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation.
  • Self‑motivated, career‑oriented perspective with ability to actively participate as part of a high‑performing team.
  • Ability to communicate across functions and levels while articulating complex concepts.
  • Presentation presence to manage communications at executive and lower levels.
  • Leadership experience to manage and lead cross‑functional projects & mentor associates.
  • Accounting experience to address complex cost management processes and identify business risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to effectively develop policy and procedure conceptually; document and develop these to deploy effectively.
  • Project expertise to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting, Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) preferred.
  • 5‑8 years of experience in public/private accounting required; with at least 3 years within a manufacturing environment.
  • Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong computer skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
