About the Role

Lawrence Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Lawrence, MA, is part of Acadia Healthcare’s Comprehensive Treatment Centers – a national leader in medication‑assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals seeking recovery from opioid use disorder. We provide a continuum of care that includes MAT, Office‑Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and mobile treatment units. Our holistic addiction care extends beyond clinical treatment to include recovery coaching, community outreach, and partnerships to ensure patients receive comprehensive, patient‑centered support.

Office Assistant – Full Time (Monday – Friday 5:30 am – 1:30 pm). Salary: $21.00–$21.63 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative tasks according to clinic procedures.
  • Answer telephones, bill, type or word process, operate office machines, and file.
  • Operate front desk duties during peak hours or when primary staff unavailable.
  • Sort, organize, and maintain office records.
  • Assist with new patient enrollments as necessary.
  • Assist with insurance/billing reports as necessary.
  • Assist with patient drug testing procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Comfortable working in an opioid treatment program (OTP) / recovery environment.
  • Skilled in answering phones, greeting patients, and providing front‑desk support.
  • Experience with billing processes, patient check‑in, and appointment scheduling.
  • Proficient with computer systems, word processing, and basic data entry.
  • Familiarity with office equipment and general clerical duties (scanning, faxing, filing).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Professional and courteous communication skills (in person, by phone, and in writing).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.
  • Dependable, team‑oriented mindset with a focus on supporting clinical staff and patients.
