Attorney Recruiting Manager, NYC office of prominent global law firm
Annual Bonus
Salary: $130,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr
Hybrid: 3 days/wk in office
Manage summer associate program and lateral hires
This role has 2 direct reports (experienced Coordinators)
BA/BS, 5 years minimum legal recruiting experience
Very little travel
Position is open due to internal promotion
Responsible for managing all non-partner attorney recruiting, including law student recruiting, lateral attorney hiring and SA program for the NYC office.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with the NYC hiring partners and recruiting committee to develop and implement recruiting strategies at target and regional law schools
- Supervise and manage the New York office recruiting team
- Oversee the interview process, candidate communications, and database management for student and lateral recruiting
- Lead the NYC 1L and 2L interview process, including overall strategy, registration, callback and offer/follow-up process
- Management of the NYC summer associate program, including social events, trainings, assignments, and evaluations
- Work with local and firm practice group leadership to determine lateral associate hiring needs
- Manage the offer and onboarding process for all non-partner lateral hires
- Analyze recruiting trends and implement strategies to directly source lateral associates
- Ensure compliance with the firm's hiring policies and AAP guidelines
- Establish and maintain the recruiting department budget
Experience and qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of campus/student recruiting programs
- Ability to attend events and work hours as needed
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- ViRecruit, Symplicity and Workday
