Our Phoenix-based enterprise client is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join their rapidly growing commercial technology division. This full-time, hybrid role (3 days on-site) focuses on building and scaling complex enterprise platforms that serve global business customers. You’ll work hands‑on with Java, React.js, and cloud‑native technologies—leveraging microservices architecture, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines to deliver next‑generation commercial applications.
This is a Director‑level individual contributor opportunity for an engineer who thrives on solving large‑scale problems and shaping technical direction across multiple teams. You’ll act as a technical mentor and thought leader, collaborating with engineering, DevOps, and data teams to drive innovation.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in Java
Frontend expertise with JavaScript / React.js
Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Proven background in microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, etc.)
Solid understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Couchbase)
Strong communication and technical leadership skills
Desired Skills & Experience
Previous experience in enterprise or SaaS‑scale environments
Familiarity with Scala, Spring Boot, or Python
Proven success in mentoring and technical evangelism
Cloud certification or prior architecture ownership experience
Exposure to AI/ML or data‑driven application design
