Engineering Project Manager

Cedar Rapids, IA or Madison, WI (Hybrid position). Job Description: Lead Program Manager for development and construction of Liquid Natural Gas Facility. Responsible for managing the development, construction, and transition to operation of the Client facility utilizing the Client Program and Project Management methodology and processes. Lead the project team, manage risk, and coordinate with Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor, Owner's Engineer (OE), Engineer of Record (EOR), and other project stakeholders. Utilize Client project management methodologies and processes (based on PMI Standards) for project delivery to achieve scope, schedule, and cost objectives while managing risks affecting project deliverables. Support program and project governance reviews. Determine specific business needs and deliverables of a project, and utilizing project management tools, establish and manage costs, resources, performance measurements, timeline, and project deliverables. Manage applicable project contracts in conjunction with sourcing personnel. Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs), evaluate responses, participate in negotiations, interpret contract language, and handle finances. Ensure that the work is completed to specifications and on schedule as specified in the contract. Responsible for development and execution of communication and stakeholder management plans related to projects, including reporting of project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of experience in leading multiple projects, including within the liquid natural gas industry. Technical Information: 3-year contract position, ends 12/2028 Pay: $90-107 hourly, depending on experience level Onsite, 3 days a week in Cedar Rapids, IA or Madison, WI (relocation assistance provided)
