As a Banking Service Professional, the Personal Banker will provide effective support of sales and service activities within the banking office. You will develop new business by educating existing and potential clients and exemplifying Valley's quality service standards. You will provide a variety of banking solutions by analyzing needs, recommending solutions, and selling bank products and services to existing and prospective clients. You will perform routine banking transactions (teller and platform) while supporting the Market Manager in achieving quality service and compliance with operational procedures.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with Valley’s mission, engaging customers with friendly and professional service.
Possess knowledge of all bank products and services, and educate and demonstrate them to customers, cross‑selling various products.
Present a confident and professional demeanor to establish trust, analyze needs, and recommend appropriate products and services.
Travel to various branch locations as directed by the District Operations Manager to provide coverage and ensure high levels of customer service.
Meet with customers to analyze financial needs, maximize sales opportunities, open new accounts, and discuss/sell loan products, possessing knowledge of online and mobile banking.
Meet service quality standards, participate in the sales referral process, and assist management in coaching and mentoring branch staff.
Perform all required transactions, use technology appropriately, maintain and balance a cash box, and support customers with Teller Scanning Equipment, Cash Recycling, and Coin Machines.
Act as Vault Teller, ensuring branch cash adequacy and assisting in ordering and shipping currency and coin.
Report all significant matters, issues, and unusual customer activity to management, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain knowledge of the Bank’s Code of Conduct and all policies and procedures.
