Summary:
The ideal candidate will have managed the engineering aspects of the engineering, procurement, and construction for electrical systems in mission-critical facilities. They will provide engineering leadership across various disciplines, oversee client relationships, manage engineering finances, and lead engineering meetings.
Projects range from $50 million to over $200 million, with square footage between 500,000 and 800,000, and team sizes from 30 to 400 depending on the project stage. This role emphasizes technical leadership over personnel management. The candidate should have expertise in electrical, power, and modular design, with an interest in modular construction and a background in design.
Location:
The most urgent needs are in Richmond, VA; Aldie, VA; Boydton, VA; and Atlanta, GA.
Core Qualifications:
Design:
Experience in designing and engineering mission-critical facilities, with skills in electrical calculations.
Build:
Interest in manufacturing modular electrical builds.
Delivery:
Experience serving as an onsite liaison, overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
Bachelor’s Degree:
Degree in engineering related to construction (civil, mechanical, electrical, industrial, etc.), with 99% of candidates holding a degree.
Experience:
12-15 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree.
PE License:
Professional Engineer license is highly preferred.
Software Skills:
Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks, Bluebeam, MS Office, ETAP/SKM, AGI32, etc.
Abilities:
Exposure to computer screens for extended periods.
Sitting for long durations.
Reaching by extending hands or arms.
Finger dexterity for manipulating objects like keyboards.
Listening to and understanding spoken information.
Communicating ideas clearly in speech.
Reading and understanding written information.
Applying general rules to specific problems.
Understanding speech from others.
