Assistant Controller
to join their finance leadership team as the company continues its rapid growth trajectory.
This is a newly created role designed to bring structure, efficiency, and leadership to the accounting function. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Assistant Controller will play a critical part in supporting operational excellence and financial transparency while leading and mentoring members of the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, and rebate tracking
Lead the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, internal controls, and accounting best practices
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and systems teams to optimize processes and leverage ERP functionality (NetSuite)
Support financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes
Help transition the accounting function to handle the scale of the anticipated growth by developing and adding to the team while re‑designing accounting processes
Contribute to the development of financial reporting packages and dashboards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
Experience in manufacturing or consumer goods environments is welcomed
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus)
Hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach with the ability to lead process improvement initiatives
Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work in a collaborative, evolving environment
