Position Summary The Talent Experience team at OnTrac provides regional‑based support to field operations (Branches/Hubs). As an HR Manager, the focus is on equipping managers and employees with the tools they need to be successful. We focus on programs relating to Performance Management, Talent & Succession Planning, Engagement & Retention, Change Management, Labor Planning, and Organizational Development. You will also work across enterprise HR to ensure cohesion and adoption of process updates and programs to ensure the most positive possible employee experience.
Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic advisor to client groups (facility Operations Management) to understand site‑specific needs and influence operational decisions that will enhance the employee experience and overall organizational health.
Coach leaders on how to manage change and deploy effective change‑management strategies.
Lead onboarding plan development for the General Manager population and partner with Talent Acquisition and IT to ensure all onboarding is complete in time for the start date.
Counsel client groups on day‑to‑day performance‑management matters (coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions).
Educate and support the process of Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
Investigate employee‑relations issues and similar internal complaints, independently crafting investigation plans, recommending findings, and assessing risk, including escalating to legal counsel where appropriate.
Lead cross‑functional HR initiatives, partnering with all HR teams (Total Rewards, Recruiting, Employee Resource Center, and Talent Management) to align enterprise programs and changes with local operational goals.
Drive HR core processes to business units, including performance management, change management, succession planning, and talent selection.
Drives the development of engagement and retention programs.
Independently and proactively synthesize data (business and people metrics) related to the assigned client group and drive insights and recommendations to optimize the employee experience and enhance business outcomes.
Communicate and help employees and managers interpret and apply human‑resources policies, procedures, and programs, with authority to recommend policy implementation decisions.
Conduct strategic site visits to engage directly with employees, assess workplace culture, gather feedback, and implement initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience at the facility level.
Align with facility General Managers on effective labor‑planning strategies to ensure optimal operational efficiency, independently identifying and recommending labor‑planning adjustments supported by financial and operational data.
Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Other job‑related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years of progressive HR experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Professional certification such as SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or SPHR is strongly preferred
Preferred
Demonstrated experience supporting an employee headcount of 500‑900 in a multi‑state environment
Proven track record in employee relations, performance management, and organizational development
Experience using HRIS, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to support workforce planning, engagement, and retention strategies
Ability to use independent judgment, problem‑solve, and be creative and answer questions
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop leaders, resolve conflicts constructively, foster strong relationships, and build high‑performing teams
Ability and willingness to travel 30% (both inter‑state and out‑of‑state travel)
