Your Role on the Team: Social Services Supervisor holds LCSW license in good standing. Provides social work services to patients and families to facilitate their ability to cope with the psychological and social problems related to illness. Provides abuse detection and reporting, information and referral, consultation and counseling and assistance with discharge planning. Participates in interdisciplinary care process, in services and other education programs of the hospital. This position requires knowledge of developmental stages as service is provided to infant, child, adolescent, Pediatric, and geriatric populations. This position also requires knowledge of cultural influences in response to illness as there is some cultural diversity in the population served. This position provides oversite to other BSW, MSW, LCSW, prepared social workers to ensure departmental goals, performance improvement measures, and other metrics are obtained/maintained. What It Takes to Be Successful

Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Social work from an accredited university Current LCSW license At least 1 year in acute care medical facility preferred, or related experience in medical setting Excellent verbal, written and computer skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Knowledge of internal policies and State/Federal regulations related to discharge planning and social services Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Preferred Qualifications
