Social Services Supervisor - Case Management - Los Alamitos - FT Days at UCI Health UCI Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine. It is the only academic health system based in Orange County and serves a region including Orange County, western Riverside County and southeast Los Angeles County. Role focuses on providing social work services to patients and families to facilitate coping with psychological and social problems related to illness.Responsibilities include abuse detection and reporting, information and referral, consultation and counseling, and assistance with discharge planning. The role participates in interdisciplinary care processes and other hospital education programs. Knowledge of developmental stages (infant to geriatric) and cultural influences in response to illness is required. This position provides oversight to other BSW, MSW, and LCSW prepared social workers to help achieve departmental goals, performance improvement measures, and related metrics. Responsibilities

Provide social work services to patients and families to facilitate coping with illness-related psychological and social issues. Detect and report abuse; provide information and referral, consultation, counseling, and discharge planning assistance. Participate in interdisciplinary care processes, services, and hospital education programs. Supervise and guide BSW, MSW, and LCSW social workers to meet department goals and performance metrics. What It Takes to Be Successful

Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university. Current LCSW license in good standing. At least 1 year in an acute care medical facility preferred, or related medical setting experience. Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of internal policies and state/federal regulations related to discharge planning and social services. Ability to demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job and maintain a professional work pace. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the health system. Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms. Job Details
