Job Summary Join the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery as a financial professional. The role involves creating comprehensive medical group and department budgets that support clinical, research, and education initiatives. The position is hybrid and requires relocation willingness or residence in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. H1B visa sponsorship is not available.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review complex monthly financial management reports, ensuring accuracy and explaining variances with written summaries.

Supervise the preparation of monthly reports, annual financial schedules, and submissions to various government agencies, ensuring compliance with University and federal regulations.

Identify areas of poor performance, present findings, and recommend improvements to upper management.

Develop and analyze financial models, conduct analyses, and maintain controls for financial system policies.

Maintain delegation of authority procedures, including check requests, refunds, invoice approvals, and bad debt write‑offs.

Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible experience in finance and/or accounting, with planning, forecasting, and financial analysis expertise.
