Senior Product Quality Engineer

Impact & Responsibilities
Driving quality tools in NPI to accelerate projects while mitigating risk by ensuring consumer needs are met, test methods are robust, specifications are well defined, and manufacturing processes are capable.
Supporting laboratory, products, processes, and systems such as addressing customer complaints and working with the team on corrective actions.
Supporting and interacting with customers and consumers through complaint investigations, resolution, and trending including monthly Quality Dashboard reports.
Troubleshooting, investigating, and analyzing non‑conforming product testing and disposition.
Driving existing product quality enhancement through continuous improvement methods and tools, including Product and Process Understanding (PPU), Design of Experiments (DOE), Six Sigma and Quality at the Source.
Ensuring commercialized product design intent and product integrity is retained as materials, processes, methods, and specifications change.
Supporting change as it relates to design changes inspired by quality improvement, source of supply changes, or cost reduction efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Three (3) years of combined experience in Quality Engineering, Supplier Management, Quality Management Systems, Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis and/or Design Control within a private, public, government, or military environment.
Additional Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Experience working with ISO9001:2015.
Experience working with suppliers in a quality improvement capacity.
Experience with statistical analysis.
Manufacturing experience.
ASQ certification.
Location & Travel Work location: On-site at 3M Center, Maplewood, MN. Employee works at least 4 days a week in the office. Travel may include up to 10% domestic and international.

Compensation & Benefits Compensation range: $122,292 - $149,468 base pay plus variable incentive pay.
