Position Type: Full‑time, Staff, FLSA Non‑Exempt, Pay Grade G‑10
Monthly Salary: $18.82 – $22.14
Job Summary The TRIO Program Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program, supporting 160 eligible students through academic tutoring, financial aid guidance, career planning, and cultural awareness. The coordinator collaborates with the TRIO Director on program coordination, data management, budgeting, and annual performance reporting, while supervising TRIO Peer Mentors.
Responsibilities
Provide face‑to‑face, phone, and electronic customer service to students, faculty, staff, and community constituents.
Manage student applications, intake, eligibility determination, and data entry in program databases.
Coordinate and lead TRIO student engagement events, including promotion, travel arrangements, and budgeting.
Collaborate with campus partners (admissions, financial aid, faculty) to promote student success.
Create and maintain program policies, procedures, and Annual Performance Reports for TRIO Grants.
Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate TRIO Peer Mentors.
Maintain accurate FERPA‑compliant records and provide timely information to stakeholders.
Provide general program support, including inventory management and communications.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree.
Office work experience with front‑line customer service (phone, in‑person, electronic).
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with office software: Adobe, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher).
Data entry, database, and report generation experience.
Experience supervising or training staff or volunteers.
Typing speed of 40 words per minute or greater.
Preferred Qualifications
Three years full‑time experience in administration, education, or related field.
Experience serving a diverse population.
Experience with Department of Education programs or federal grants.
Event planning and implementation experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and problem‑solving abilities.
Positive attitude, growth‑oriented, and professional demeanor.
Work Schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (1 hour lunch). Evening and weekend hours may be required.
Travel Required for student engagement events, training, and/or conferences.
