PRO Inside Sales Support Rep – St Louis, MO
Join the Home Depot team as a PRO Inside Sales Support Representative. The ideal candidate will support growth of managed account portfolios with Outside Sales Representatives by delivering consultative support, robust customer service, and efficient quote and order management throughout the project cycle.
Base Pay Range $22.00 /hr – $24.00 /hr
Position Purpose The Inside Sales Support Representative (ISSR) works closely with Outside Sales partners, offering personalized service and solutions through accurate quotes, sales orders, issue resolution, and post‑sale follow‑up. The ISSR leverages industry knowledge, CRM systems, and phone tools to enhance account growth and increase marketplace share.
Key Responsibilities
Support Outside Sales portfolio growth (~50% focus) – provide excellent customer service, precise quoting, sourcing, and overall project ownership. Follow up on orders, reconcile issues, and ensure all customer needs are met.
Account Administration (~25% focus) – partner with internal vendors and cross‑functional teams to manage quoting, pricing, availability, and issue resolution for high‑volume projects. Own projects end‑to‑end, keeping the managed account customer at the center of the process.
Issue Resolution (~25% focus) – assist internal and external customers throughout the journey; handle invoice transmission, post‑sale follow‑up, and quote requests.

Reports to: Supervisor
Direct reports: 0
Travel Requirements
Typically requires overnight travel 5–20% of the time.
Physical Requirements
Mostly seated; occasional light lifting.
Working Conditions
Comfortable indoor environment.
Minimum Qualifications
18 years of age or older.
Legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint).
Collaboration across cross‑functional teams.
Project management skills.
Negotiation, complaint resolution, and grievance handling.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Previous customer service or retail sales experience; home improvement trade knowledge preferred.
Local building code knowledge and consultative mindset.
In‑depth knowledge of retail systems including Showroom POS, Order Up, My Custom Designs, Volume Pricing Program, Quote Center, Pro Xtra, Credit Services Center, and Appliance Ordering System.
Minimum Education
