Job Type: Full‑time, Salaried, Exempt. Salary: $38,000–$43,000 annually. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm.

What You’ll Do Under the leadership of the Financial Controller, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for keeping the organization up to date on all accounts payable obligations.

Manage AP inbox, respond to vendor inquiries, process and code invoices accurately using the accounting system, and maintain both physical and electronic vendor records.

Facilitate vendor payments via credit card, ACH, or check; ensure timely updates of W‑9s and insurance certificates; prepare annual 1099s for eligible vendors.

Coordinate and approve all agency purchases, verify receipt of goods, and ensure compliance with approved vendor lists and company policies.

Enter purchases into accounting software with correct coding, maintain and reconcile petty cash and prepaid accounts, and manage METS tokens.

Provide backup support for Accounting Specialist tasks (e.g., store sale reconciliations) and perform other duties as assigned under a service agreement with Goodwill Educates, Inc.

What You’ll Bring

Associate degree or equivalent experience in accounting or a related field; knowledge of bookkeeping and administrative functions.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex issues clearly; proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.

Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

Reliable, honest, and able to handle confidential information; represents Goodwill positively and supports its mission.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and travel as needed. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for required travel; ability to pass pre‑employment background and drug screenings.
