Job Summary:
The Stop Access Coalition is a county‑wide coalition that works with youth, parents and other stakeholders to reduce and prevent underage drinking, youth use of marijuana, use of tobacco and tobacco products including electronic smoking devices. The Stop Access Coalition Coordinator is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of coalition activities. All coalition activities are developed through planning meetings in collaboration with coalition members and partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide coordination of all coalition activities
Understand policies, environmental and systems change
Work with partners and stakeholders to develop a work plan and implement
Oversee the implementation of coalition activities
Ensure required outcomes are achieved
Recruit new coalition members
Develop and maintain a social media presence
Supervise interns and volunteers as needed for projects
Represent the agency in relevant community meetings
Attend internal and external meetings and trainings as required by the agency and its funders
Timely collect and submit program reports and data
Timely submit all agency paperwork in accordance with agency policies
Promote the values of safety, cooperation, communication and inclusiveness in all agency activities
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS in public health, human services, social work or a related field is preferred
Commitment to community collaboration
Understand and work through a health equity framework
Experience with evidence‑based programming is preferred
Knowledge of social media
Experience with programs involving policy change, communication, strategic planning and community mobilization to change community norms preferred
Ability to develop and maintain relationships
Excellent writing, oral, computer and interpersonal skills
Commitment to the goals and mission of the agency
Supports the mission and goals of the agency
