Relationship Manager

to join their team in

Tempe, AZ.

Location:

Tempe, AZ

Pay Rate:

$37/hr - $39/hr

Schedule:

5 days/week onsite (Monday–Friday, 9–5 or 8–4).

About the Role In this role, you'll guide

small and medium‑size business clients

through onboarding and ongoing use of the

Company's Payroll solution, powered by Gusto . You'll act as a trusted advisor and relationship manager, ensuring seamless payroll support and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Advise clients on payroll solutions embedded in Business Online, including payments, and payroll support.

Partner with Business Development, Relationship Managers, and Product teams to identify and recommend payroll services tailored to client needs.

Onboarding & Activation

Lead the onboarding process for payroll, coordinating with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth setup and activation.

Oversee client training and support for payroll platform features, including integration with Gusto and tax filing automation.

Client Relationship Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll clients, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring satisfaction.

Proactively manage client feedback and advocate for process improvements.

Execute product pilots and nurture leads in partnership with Marketing.

Cross‑sell value‑added payroll and payment services to existing merchant clients to drive revenue and loyalty.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to enhance onboarding, activation, and ongoing support processes.

Participate in feedback loops with sales leadership, marketing, and product teams.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum 3 years of sales experience and/or Bachelor’s degree

Experience in merchant services, payroll, or banking

Strong tele‑sales, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Excellent organizational skills; able to

manage multiple clients/projects

Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office/Excel

Client‑first mindset, analytical and problem‑solving skills

High integrity, professionalism, and risk management awareness

Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced, evolving environment

Preferred:

5+ years in payments, payroll, or related field

Success in cross‑functional collaboration

Familiarity with digital onboarding tools and processes

Experience with payroll platforms (e.g., Gusto, ADP, PayChex)

Resourcefulness in addressing customer needs
