Job Overview As a Retail Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, build retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting pay will be between $16.25 and $16.50 per hour, depending on experience.
This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Weekly hours for this position are between 8 and 10 hours per week.
Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role And Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology for daily tasks, communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required surveys.
Holiday support: During peak periods such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours, including on the holiday itself or weekends.
Department resets: Participate in installations, furniture setup, and product relocation for Hallmark fixtures and card sections. Advance notice (typically two weeks) will be provided for remodel assignments, which may require evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration: Act as part of Hallmark’s field organization to support other merchandisers across territories when needed.
Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, repeatedly lifting, pulling, and carrying up to 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds on occasion). You must kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use ladders as required.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Read, write, and understand English.
Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Proficient with a digital handheld device for reading documents and data entry.
Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
Reliable transportation to travel between stores.
