Job Overview
As a Retail Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasionally you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting pay will be between $16.25 and $16.40 per hour, depending on your skills and experience.
This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Weekly hours are between 10‑12 hours per week.
Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement : Using a Hallmark mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology to report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising activities. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.
Holiday support : During peak seasons (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), you may work additional days, extended hours, and on holidays themselves.
Department resets : Assist in installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating departments, and resetting card sections. Notify two weeks in advance for remodel assignments; assignments may include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration : Support other merchandisers in the field organization across territories.
Physical Requirements This job requires physical stamina, including moving, lifting, and carrying objects up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may climb stairs or step ladders throughout the workday.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Proficiency in operating a digital hand‑held device.
Reliable internet access via Wi‑Fi.
Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
