We are in search of an experienced IT Project and Product Delivery Manager to spearhead our team of Product Managers and Project Managers in delivering critical IT initiatives across the organization. This leadership role will involve managing people, processes, and tools to ensure that both projects and products are delivered efficiently and in accordance with our IT strategy and enterprise priorities.
The right candidate will champion excellence throughout the entire delivery lifecycle—from strategic planning and execution to adoption and ongoing improvement—while cultivating strong collaborative relationships, driving change leadership, and promoting a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and support a dynamic team of Product Managers and Project Managers, encouraging accountability, transparency, and ongoing improvement. Assist team members in applying best practices for product and project delivery, including roadmaps, backlog management, scheduling, risk management, and governance compliance. Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and support career development initiatives.
Project & Product Delivery:
Guide the successful delivery of IT projects and digital products across a range of initiatives. Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to ensure alignment between product roadmaps and IT strategy. Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept through to ongoing enhancements. Establish and refine delivery frameworks to ensure consistency and quality outcomes. Ensure all projects adhere to established governance frameworks, budget controls, and risk management protocols.
Resource & Capacity Planning:
Own resource planning strategies to align with IT goals and enterprise needs. Develop and maintain capacity plans reflecting current and anticipated project demands. Perform skill mapping to identify team strengths and areas for development. Implement strategies to ensure readiness for future initiatives. Monitor real-time resource allocation to adapt to evolving priorities and timelines. Utilize capacity data for informed decision-making during annual planning cycles.
Governance, Strategy & Continuous Improvement:
Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, budget controls, and risk management practices. Conduct post-project reviews and identify opportunities for enhancement. Facilitate prioritization of initiatives to align with enterprise strategy. Connect portfolio delivery to strategic planning processes.
Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement:
Champion organizational change management efforts, focusing on stakeholder communication, training, and adoption strategies. Build strong partnerships with business leaders and teams to ensure effective delivery of business value. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership regarding delivery performance and strategic alignment.
Portfolio & Performance Reporting:
Oversee the centralized IT project and product portfolio for optimal business impact. Deliver insightful portfolio dashboards to executive leadership, detailing key performance indicators, risks, and budgets.
Requirements: Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum Experience: 7+ years in IT project and/or product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. Proven success in delivering large, complex IT projects and digital products. Expertise in delivery methodologies and product lifecycle management. Strong capacity planning and resource management experience. Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder reporting abilities. Preferred Experience: Background in the retail or convenience store industry. Familiarity with PPM and product management tools like Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, or MS Project/Planner. Licenses/Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, CSPO, or other relevant certifications. Soft Skills: Strong leadership abilities, fostering collaboration and team motivation. Excellent communication skills for conveying complex information. Strategic thinker with a focus on aligning operations with business objectives. High emotional intelligence to promote trust and teamwork. Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and resolve conflicts. Adaptable and resilient in rapidly changing environments.
