Job Description

About the role:

Our client, a respected and well-established law firm, is seeking a Legal Secretary to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to support a group of experienced attorneys in a fast‑paced and professional environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with at least one year of experience in a legal or administrative setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys and staff.
  • Transcribe dictation and prepare correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Handle copying, scanning, filing, and document organization.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and calls.
  • Maintain case files and assist with document management and scheduling.
  • Prepare and edit reports, letters, and other materials as requested.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) for daily tasks.
  • Assist with special projects and other administrative needs as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of legal or administrative experience (law firm experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines in a team‑oriented environment.

Preferred

  • Prior experience supporting litigation or transactional attorneys.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and document formats.
