Position Overview The King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is seeking a highly motivated Legal Administrative Professional I to handle a variety of office support tasks performed under general supervision, exercising sound independent judgment.

Location & Schedule King County Courthouse, 516 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA 98104.

Work Schedule: 40-hour week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternative schedules subject to supervisor approval. Hybrid work: minimum of 2 days in office per week; first six months required in office 4 days/week for new hires.

Benefits The position is eligible for King County’s generous benefits package. Hybrid work is allowed.

Salary Hourly range: $28.19 (step one) to $35.73 (step ten).

Union Membership Positions are represented by Teamsters Local No. 117.

Selection Process Materials will be reviewed for qualifications. The most competitive candidates may be invited to a panel interview. Current PAO employees represented by Teamsters Local No. 117 receive priority consideration.

Responsibilities

Process certified requests for District Court Units

Manage daily requests in PbK, Reminders

Verify documents, scan and upload into PbK

Maintain inventory and order office supplies for District Court Units

Assist with special projects as they arise

Actively participate in PAO equity work, attending equity trainings and discussions

Other responsibilities may be added or changed as business needs evolve

Qualifications

Knowledge of general office principles and procedures, particularly in the criminal justice system

Proficiency using computers and database programs such as PbK, Word, Excel, Adobe Pro, JABS and ITS

Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and complete varied tasks accurately

Customer service skills; patience, discretion, professionalism

Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail

Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with initiative

Reliable attendance; ability to accept feedback and supervision

Maintain security, confidentiality, and discretion involving highly critical matters
