Physical Requirements Intermittently sitting at a computer workstation, performing repetitive typing, occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 10 lbs, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs, exposure to hazardous chemicals, blood‑borne pathogens, etc.
Shift Primarily 7:30 am – 4 pm, Monday through Friday; some weekend/holiday as needed.
Job Summary This Hematology/Oncology Clinical Pharmacist will provide comprehensive, patient‑centered pharmacotherapy for inpatient and outpatient H/O service lines, including therapeutic drug monitoring, drug regimen review, patient education, and medical staff interactions. The role also includes educational services to pharmacy students, residents, pharmacists, physicians, and nurses, research, quality improvement, presentations, publications, and upholding UK Healthcare core values.
Responsibilities
Provide inpatient and outpatient clinical pharmacy services.
Conduct therapeutic drug monitoring and drug regimen review.
Educate patients, students, residents, and staff through precepting, in‑service presentations, and didactic teaching.
Engage in clinical research and quality improvement projects.
Maintain teamwork with multidisciplinary staff.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing.
Ability to prioritize, excellent communication, team mentality, desire to teach, and high motivation.
Preferred Education / Experience
PharmD degree preferred.
ASHP PGY1 residency and/or PGY2 specialty residency preferred.
