Behavioral Health Specialist I - Tuesdays through Saturdays role at International Community Health Services (ICHS). Base pay
$30.25/hr - $44.29/hr What we offer

ICHS’ behavioral health services are collaborative, patient-centered, and designed to improve and enhance patient’s emotional, mental, and behavioral health. As a member of the patient’s care team, ICHS’ behavioral health program is accountable for the behavioral health care of all ICHS patients through direct referral, indirect review and implementation of guidelines and workflows impacted by the patient’s behavioral health. Patients access behavioral health services as a member of their care team. In addition to patient care within the framework of established behavioral health guidelines and ICHS’ Principles of Practice and approved by the appropriate licensing board in the State of Washington, the Behavioral Health Specialist functions as a member of the collaborative care team that includes the patient, primary care provider, behavioral health provider, consulting psychiatrist, and other medical staff. This position is responsible for providing integrated behavioral health care within a primary care setting. The ideal work schedule for this position is Tuesdays-Saturdays but is negotiable. Education
- Graduate degree in mental health field (social work, psychology, counseling, or related field). Experience
- Postgraduate experience working with individuals with co-occurring mental health and/or substance use disorders; individuals with a disability; individuals of a vulnerable population (elderly, mothers, children) and/or other high risk groups required. Full, current and unrestricted license/certification to practice as a healthcare provider as a substance use disorder professional or substance use disorder professional trainee preferred. One (1) year experience in a multicultural health care clinic and direct service experience with bilingual/bicultural patients preferred. Experience with motivational interviewing techniques preferred. Experience with assessing mental health and substance use disorders and providing appropriate interventions based on the patient’s level of need preferred. Other requirements
- Suicide assessment, treatment, and management training required by WA State Department of Health. Meet the training requirement and current certification by WA State to submit billing and provide SBIRT services. Full, active and unrestricted associate license to practice as a behavioral healthcare provider in WA State. Bilingual language fluency preferred.
