The Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics‑Pediatric Hospital Medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a full‑time Pediatric Hospitalist to provide direct medical care to children at St. Joseph Children’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. The role is primarily clinical with involvement in the residency teaching program and opportunities to participate in quality and educational leadership. A Florida medical license and Board Certification/Eligibility in Pediatrics are required. The appointment is non‑tenure earning and salary is negotiable.
Responsibilities
Provide hospital‑based medical care to pediatric inpatients and outpatients at St. Joseph Children’s Hospital.
Teach resident physicians, fellows, and medical students as part of daily clinical duties.
Participate in the hospitalist quality program and additional educational or leadership opportunities.
Maintain documentation and compliance with institutional policies and state licensing requirements.
Other duties as assigned by the department.
Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatrics.
Minimum of 12 months of recent inpatient clinical care experience.
Full, unrestricted Florida Medical License (or foreign equivalent) and standing on the USF Health faculty practice plan and hospital medical staff.
Demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service (preferred).
