Job Description The Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics-Pediatric Hospital Medicine, University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine seeks a full‑time Pediatric Hospitalist at St. Joseph Children's Hospital in Tampa. This primarily clinical role includes patient care and participation in the residency teaching program. Opportunities exist for quality program involvement and educational and hospital‑based leadership, enabling clinical assessment without a fellowship. The position is non‑tenure earning with a negotiable salary and requires a Florida medical license.

Responsibilities

Manage pediatric patients at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, delivering direct medical care.

Diagnose, treat, or prescribe interventions for all human diseases.

Teach residents as part of daily clinical duties.

Participate in the quality program and other educational and hospital‑based leadership activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization, with a demonstrated record in teaching, academic research, and service.

Meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.

Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics.

Minimum of 12 months recent inpatient clinical care experience.

Hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent. Maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals where clinical duties are performed.
