Lead delivery with electronics LCA projects from start to finish, including:
Researching and collecting life cycle inventory data, performing quality assurance, developing new datasets to fill data gaps Performing modeling in software platforms such as LCA For Experts (formerly GaBi), SimaPro, GREET and openLCA Developing product life cycle assessments to calculate impacts such as GHG emission, energy use, water use, consumption and scarcity, waste, and other impacts. Producing reports (screening-level and ISO-conformant, comparative and non-comparative) and presentations based on the results of LCAs Producing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), eco passports/profiles and LCA background reports per relevant Product Category Rules (PCRs) and the EU Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) methodology
Research opportunities to reduce environmental impacts in the life cycle of a product or service Produce sustainability reports, disclosures, and other communications Develop and maintain data management systems and business intelligence tools Support business development activities with existing and prospective clients Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline required. Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in product sustainability and LCA consulting in the electronics and technology business sectors. Experience with developing ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 conformant LCA reports. Familiarity with the product design process, manufacturing, supply chain management, circular economy principles and methods of reducing waste. Well‑developed interpersonal skills, maturity, credibility, confidence, and integrity. Strong oral and written communication skills, and use of Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Ability to develop and present analyses using programs such as Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power BI. Ability to work independently, iteratively prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently. Ability to collaborate remotely across geographies and platforms. Proven record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Occasional travel may be required depending on project‑specific requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline. Experience using LCA software and methodologies (e.g., LCA for Experts, formerly GaBi, SimaPro, openLCA, GREET). Experience with ISO standards relevant to LCA, such as 14040, 14044, 14025, 14046, 14064, and 14067. Experience with other sector areas such as food and beverage, agriculture, apparel/textiles, construction products. Experience with EPDs and PEF methodology. Familiarity with emerging circularity standards and the application of such standards to LCA. Familiarity with water foot printing, water stress and scarcity methodologies such as AWARE.
