Assistant Store Manager Responsibilities
Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team member execution of customer service programs (e.g., Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
Work with the store manager to ensure the sales counter is adequately staffed during peak business hours.
Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring current training.
Assist in the hiring process including recruiting tasks, scheduling interviews, evaluating candidates, collaborating with management.
Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, DC add orders, and contact customers upon shipment arrivals.
Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases according to procedure.
Process retail customer returns, exchanges, refunds accurately and stage returned merchandise.
Invoice core charges and warranties before product leaves store.
Communicate Zipline messages and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks.
Ensure team members comply with company policies: posted work schedule, approvals, clocking in/out.
Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, money/deposit security, bank deposits, security locks, alarm arming/disarming.
Assist in maintaining store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service equipment, delivery vehicles.
All other duties as assigned.

Sales Specialist Training
Assistant Manager Certification
RSS Certification
Desired Qualifications
Certified Parts Professional Certification
ASE Certification
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
