Overview

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities

Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring ongoing training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating on selections. Answer telephone according to company policy. Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and notify customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to manage special orders and outside purchases according to procedure. Ensure returns and exchanges are processed efficiently, refunds issued correctly, and returned merchandise is properly handled. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure compliance with company policies, including adherence to posted work schedules and proper timekeeping. Perform store opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, money handling, deposits, and security checks as required. Assist in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, equipment, and delivery vehicles. All other duties as assigned. Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired). Total Compensation Package
