Job Description Our Retail Development team has decades of experience building and servicing luxury and fashion retail locations across the United States for brands such as Swatch, Tissot, Longines, Omega, Harry Winston and many others. This office‑based role is located in Miami, Florida.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage construction life‑cycle activities such as RFIs, logs and department meeting minutes from beginning to project close‑out.
Initiate and manage the project, establishing the constructible scope, executing and tracking construction progress, and serving as the primary point‑of‑contact for key stakeholders.
Develop, manage and monitor anticipated versus actual project budgets to ensure cost control.
Assure that corporate processes are applied and completed.
Track and assure on‑time completion of all project tasks from initial budget to close‑out.
Communicate effectively throughout the project regarding questions, changes and updates.
Ensure project processes are integrated effectively to meet brand objectives.
Guarantee that brand designs & identity are respected.
Ensure construction documents are accurate and comply with brand and industry standards.
Oversee quality management processes for brand satisfaction.
Prepare and manage schedules for architects, vendors and contractors to meet project timelines.
Secure the delivery of materials and services.
Issue RFPs, compare & level bids, and negotiate proposals.
Maintain contractor and vendor quality standards during design, implementation and construction.
Engage proactive solutions for anticipated obstacles.
Take full responsibility for project quality and efficiency.
Work off hours or days when required by project needs.
Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
Travel as required to project job sites.
Professional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or vocational degree in Construction, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering or related fields.
Minimum 7 years of commercial construction experience; retail experience preferred. Luxury retail or mixed‑use general contractor experience highly preferred.
Verifiable experience with high‑end FFE.
Project lifecycle knowledge, including submittals, shop drawings and RFIs.
Procurement experience: sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, and delivering project materials.
Excellent project management skills, using tools such as MS Project, Excel, etc.
Ability to create and manage project budgets.
Understanding of building department procedures in major U.S. cities.
Strong negotiator of vendor and general contractor agreements and change orders.
Modern mobile communication skills for work assignments.
Deep knowledge of construction means and methods, including MEP systems, fine details, furniture assembly, graphic production, AV and other low‑voltage systems.
Detail‑oriented and organized, with strong prioritization skills.
Service‑oriented mindset toward internal clients (our brands and internal departments).
Ability to multi‑task and work under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
Dependable and reliable team player.
Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment.
A Construction Project Manager I must have expertise in on‑site construction supervision, schedule management, and work as part of a team that assures proper and efficient on‑time openings of new or renovated retail locations. Successful candidates demonstrate reliability, leadership, self‑motivation, professional communication skills, and goal‑oriented ambition.
Physical Requirements This active position requires presence on construction sites and in the office. The role must operate computer equipment and be able to walk, kneel, climb, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move for extended periods. Carrying up to 50 lbs. Finger dexterity and clear vision and hearing are essential.
