The course went through an ultra-dwarf green renovation this summer and is set to reopen in late September. The Hills is one of a multi-course complex located near Boca Grande FL headed by a Director of Agronomy. Qualified candidates should thrive on providing superior service. Join our team as a Golf Course Superintendent and play a key role in providing exceptional golfing experience for our members and guests Key Responsibilities As a Golf Course Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of golf course maintenance and operations. Responsible for the overall condition of the golf course, daily operations, scheduling maintenance, managing budgeted costs and proper chemical usage. Develop and implement maintenance programs and collaborate with golf course management. Supervise, coordinate, train, and schedule daily assignments and projects conducted by the golf course staff. Familiar with basic procedures including set up, storage, application, and record keeping procedures for applying fertilizer, chemicals, top dressing, and aerification to golf course as conditions dictate. Responsibilities Supervises, schedules and trains employees in the maintenance department Works closely with management in preparing short-term and long-term agronomic strategies, as well as annual budget and maintenance recordkeeping Responsible for plans, schedules, and monitoring daily operations via our labor management tool (Task Tracker) including staff scheduling. Record keeping of fertilizer and pesticide applications, irrigation applications, weather, and personnel records Managing the operation and maintenance of pumps, irrigation system and drainage Irrigation scheduling, troubleshooting, and repair Moisture management of greens Enforcement of Golf Course Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures Compensation and benefits: Salary of $70,000 - 80,000 Relocation assistance Paid vacation and sick time Membership fees to local and national organizations Golf privileges We are believers of a quality work/life balance, and the schedule will reflect that. Experience Requirements Associate or bachelor’s degree in turf management, horticulture, agronomy, or similar fields preferred, but not required. Minimum 3-5 years of course/turfgrass Supervisor/management experience required Must possess basic computer skills – Word and Excel etc.
